Description of Deloraine: Deloraine is a charming and attractive town located on the banks of the Meander River, 48 km west of Launceston. Classified by the National Trust as a town of historical significance, Deloraine has many fine buildings, including Bonney's Inn (c.1830). In the area around Deloraine are Tasmania Pottery, the Liffey Falls, Train World at Mole Creek, the Wildlife Park and Koala Village between Chudleigh and Mole Creek, the Meander Falls area, the villages of Alveston and Exton (just east of Deloraine) which has many antique shops and beautiful old cottages. Visitors to Deloraine can enjoy fine cottage accommodation.
